Cameron Highlands’ The Smokehouse restaurant boasts an English Tudor-styled architecture built in 1939. The English or colonial ambiance is an experience for local tourists who love rural English setting. Dining in the company of lush, peaceful garden and rustic building provides a momentary liberation from daily life. A walk in The Smokehouse’s big and lush garden is most worthwhile and romantic. However, a word of warning to frequent hawker stall goers – the food served was not as cost efficient and piping hot like most Asian food and some hotel buffet. Be prepared to be served room temperature food in meagre quantity at a higher price range, albeit of commendable quality. Tip off: try requesting for hot servings.
